Telšiai’s "Džiugas" is pleased to announce that the team will be strengthened by 19-year-old Ukrainian Oleksandr Chernozub, coming from the neighboring Latvian club "Liepaja".

Oleksandr learned the secrets of football in his native Ukraine's football academies until the summer of 2022, when he moved to Spain and joined the SD "Ponferradina" U-19 team. After spending two years in Spain, the young player continued his career in Latvia, where he became a part of the "Liepaja" club. In the summer of 2023, he was loaned to the AFA "Olaine" club, which competes in the Latvian second league.

Oleksandr is a versatile player with experience in different football schools and systems. His joining Telšiai’s "Džiugas" provides the team with the opportunity to utilize his talent, develop the player’s potential, and strengthen the team’s capacity in Lithuania’s highest division.
