Officially announced that from next season Eric Abidal will work as the sports director of "Barcelona". He will replace Robert Fernandez in this position, whose contract with the club will end soon.
Recently, Fernandez has been criticized the most for Neymar's departure, but also for the few players he initiated to acquire who did not fit well into the team.
Abidal, who played for "Barcelona" from 2007 to 2013, will now replace Fernandez. The Frenchman became the club's ambassador last year, and the new position is a significant promotion.
The former full-back will be presented in this important role by the Spanish champions on July 18.
