This summer, the center-back Eric Bailly, who joined "Manchester United," revealed that he rejected an offer from "Manchester City" because of Jose Mourinho.
After a great season with Villarreal, the 22-year-old Ivory Coast national team member attracted interest from top European clubs. In early June, the "Red Devils" won the battle for the player's signature, paying £30 million for the defender.
"I came to Manchester United because I like Mourinho," said E. Bailly. "I wanted to work with someone who works hard. As for Man City, I didn't get to speak with Guardiola, another coach called me."
"Mourinho called me and encouraged me to come here. This decision was partly influenced by Didier Drogba. He worked with Mourinho and advised me to choose to work with him.
Yaya Toure also called me and urged me to come to Man City, but after talking to Drogba, I decided to work with Jose," E. Bailly added.
