Legendary French and "Manchester United" football player Eric Cantona believes that there need to be huge changes within the ranks of the "Red Devils."
After a very poor start to the English "Premier League" championship this season, rumors of Jose Mourinho's dismissal flooded the media. However, the current "Man Utd" manager Ed Woodward is patient and has given the Portuguese a chance to continue working.
When asked whether "Man Utd" is making the right move by continuing to work with J. Mourinho, who is considered a proponent of defensive football, E. Cantona stated: "I see a wrong man with a wrong woman."
"You can always lose, but at some point you have to start taking risks. It's not a good situation when you lose to the 'Juventus' team in your own stadium and let them have 70 percent ball control. Could anyone imagine that happening if Ferguson were sitting on the bench?
"I really suffer for this club, I suffer even more when I see that 'Man City' plays such amazing football," continued the Frenchman.
When asked who should take over the reins of the team, E. Cantona gave the example of Zinedine Zidane: "We saw how Zizou, a former 'Real' player who had never coached any team, suddenly became the club's coach.
They gave him a chance and he took it. For some reason, it is not happening at 'United,' because there is always a great advantage in having a coach who knows the club from the inside," added the legendary E. Cantona.
