Former "Paris Saint-Germain" footballer Edouard Cisse criticized "Manchester United" coach Louis van Gaal, stating that he "tried to muzzle" Angel Di Maria last season.
The 27-year-old footballer moved to the French capital this summer for 44.5 million pounds sterling and made a great assist in a 3-0 victory against "Monaco" in his debut match.
According to Cisse, who played over 150 matches for PSG under the leadership of Laurent Blanco, Di Maria will shine in the team.
"He lacked a bit of sharpness against Monaco, but that's normal. He will show his abilities to break down the opponent's defense," said a person who spent 10 seasons in Paris, speaking to Canal+.
"He will be led by a good strategist. One of his best seasons was under Carlo Ancelotti. Van Gaal tried to mute him. Allowing him to express himself is necessary, he is an artist."
Cisse also mentioned that this season PSG players will try to remain undefeated in France - a feat that no "Ligue 1" club has achieved yet.
