"Liverpool" legend Steven Gerrard announced his retirement, and his former teammate El Hadji Diouf decided to throw a stone into his garden.
The Senegalese spent two seasons in the past in the Merseyside team, and previously he had criticized their captain.
Let's remind that Gerrard wore the "Liverpool" jersey more than 600 times during his career.
"When I arrived, I showed him that he was nothing", - Diouf said to SFR Sport.
"I asked him: 'In which major tournament have you played where people will remember you?'. He is not Zidane."
"I respect the player. He is a great footballer. However, I cannot say the same about the person and personality. I let him know that."
"To me, he was just another player. He had to behave well and play as best as he could, but not go to the coach to tell what was happening in the dressing room."
Diouf also added that he thought Gerrard was afraid to talk to him.
