Eden Hazard, who has suffered an injury, is in danger of missing the 2020 European Championship.
Belgium's national team coach Roberto Martinez confirmed that the rehabilitation will take at least three months, so he will not play for Real Madrid this season.
The 29-year-old footballer broke his ankle during the match against Levante. As the coach revealed, Hazard already had a similar injury in 2017, which kept him out for more than two months.
"It's very sad because due to this injury he will not be able to play for at least three months, and a player like Eden should always be on the field," lamented the coach.
"We are in communication with Real Madrid's medical staff and are very concerned for Eden. The saddest part is that it happened before such important matches (against Man City)," Martinez added.
According to AS, the only remaining question is whether Hazard will need to undergo surgery. If it is decided to have surgery, which is recommended after two almost identical injuries in the same season, he will undoubtedly miss the European Championships.
