Eden Hazard's father does not hide that this summer there was contact with the Madrid "Real" club, but the negotiations were not so serious that they could have ended successfully.
In the media this summer, rumors spread that E. Hazard would become the successor to Cristiano Ronaldo, but Madrid "Real" did not acquire absolutely any other football player in his place.
The footballer's father Thierry believes that this was perhaps the last chance for his son to join his dream team.
"I can't say why the deal didn't happen - not because I can't, but simply because I don't know," said the father. "Maybe they are inclined towards players of a certain age and want to give a chance to much younger ones. Eden will have one more year left on his contract next summer, but it's hard to expect everything to end with a move to Madrid."
Asked if events could have taken a completely different direction if Zinedine Zidane had continued to lead the Madrid "Real" team, Thierry Hazard replied: "I think with Zidane it would have been a completely different story, but he had his reasons to leave the club."
It is believed that negotiations for E. Hazard broke off immediately after "Chelsea" asked for 190 million pounds sterling for him.
