The "Kaunas Žalgiris" continues its preparations for the start of the 2025 season, looking towards the future and has added two young and promising Lithuanians to its ranks.

The bronze medalists of the "TOPsport A League" have signed contracts with 20-year-old Eduardas Jurjonas and 19-year-old Tautvydas Burdzilauskas, whose older brother Ernestas joined the team last week.

Representing the Lithuanian U-21 national team, E. Jurjonas played last season for the Jonavos "Be1" team, which finished second in the "TOPsport First League," scoring 5 goals and providing 5 assists in 15 matches.

As a left-back, he made his debut in the "TOPsport A League" at just 16 years old with Gargždų "Banga," later developing in the "Be1" academy, spending half a year with the youth team of "Salernitana" in Italy, and was loaned to the Greek team "Kalamata" for the 2024 half-season.

Meanwhile, T. Burdzilauskas, who also represents the Lithuanian U-21 national team, is moving to Kaunas from Marijampolės "Sūduva."

The right-back made his debut in the "TOPsport A League" in 2022 at the age of 16, and over the last two years, he has solidified his place in the main team.

Last season, T. Burdzilauskas played 30 matches in the country's top league, scoring two goals and providing 4 assists. In July, the Marijampolė native was also named the best young player of the "TOPsport A League."
