Just a few days before the first training session of "Kauno Žalgiris" in preparation for the 2025 season, the club extended the contract with Edvinas Kloniūnas.

The player from Kaunas has been wearing the club's jersey with short breaks since the club's debut in the "TOPsport A league".

Remaining in the team for the 2025 season, 26-year-old E. Kloniūnas will start his tenth season at the Kaunas club. In the country's top league, the versatile player has already played over 160 matches in the green and white jersey, during which he scored 13 goals and provided 6 assists.

Throughout his career, aside from "Kauno Žalgiris", E. Kloniūnas has also played for Bijelo Brdo BSK (Croatia) and "Sevan" (Armenia).

Meanwhile, K. Šilkaitis, who is parting ways with the club, has played an impressive 190 matches in the "TOPsport A league" in the green and white jersey, making him second only to the long-time team goalkeeper Deividas Mikelionis in terms of this number. During his career at the club, the player scored 10 goals and assisted his teammates 6 times.
