E. Lavezzi: I did not like the French championship

The attacker Ezequiel Lavezzi says that representing "Paris Saint-Germain" was difficult for him to find motivation, because in the "Ligue 1" championship his team does not have worthy opponents.

On Sunday, after crushing "Troyes" 9-0, Laurent Blanco's protégés secured their fourth consecutive champion's title. With eight rounds remaining, they lead "Monaco" by 25 points.

This summer, the Argentine preferred to play in China, where he represented "Napoli."

"I didn't like 'Ligue 1'," Lavezzi told L'Equipe. "It doesn't motivate me at all. That's the truth."

"PSG compared to other teams is incredibly strong. The matches just don't bring pleasure."

"The situation is different in Italy - there you play eight important matches per season, in France you play two."

In the first part of this season, Lavezzi appeared in 16 "Ligue 1" matches and scored two goals.
