The head coach of London’s Chelsea club, Enzo Maresca, stated that he does not intend to acquire strikers who are not with the club, playing on the last day of the transfer window, and participating in four tournaments:

"We do not intend to sign any free-agent strikers; we will manage with the attacking players we have.

We are also not ruling out the possibility that the loaned player Deivid Washington will join us; we are in talks with him.”

"Playing on the last day of the transfer window is a very bad thing.

We finished the match an hour before the winter transfer window closed. It is impossible to plan for two strikers to sustain injuries in one game.”

"At this moment, we are not capable of competing in four tournaments.

Our goal and aspiration is to lead the ‘aristocrats’ to victories or to participate successfully in different tournaments, but we are not capable of that yet. Am I confident that we will become that? Of course, in the upcoming years.”

London’s Chelsea club is in fourth place in the English Premier League and will play in the knockout stage of the Conference League.
