The head coach of London’s Chelsea club, Enzo Maresca, once again reminded that his team is not in the title race, discussed the condition of Romeo Lavia, the excellent performance of Enzo Fernández, the importance of Cole Palmer, and the situation regarding Mykhailo Mudryk:

"We are not in the title race, that is the reality.

We are not putting pressure on the players, the club, or ourselves about it. To me, it’s just the reality.

We are already beyond our limits if we talk about our performance and the points we’ve earned, as our mission is to develop players and to strive to do everything we can best.

I would like us to have the pressure of a title race. I hope there will be such pressure soon.”

Romeo Lavia will miss the upcoming match against London’s Fulham.

The Belgian is still recovering but feels significantly better. He is already training on the field, but he is not yet ready for the next match.

"It is a good thing that M. Mudryk will attend the boxing match between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, as he will be able to disconnect from the situation regarding doping.

I spoke with the Ukrainian, and we are trying to help him. Right now, we are just waiting for a decision.”

"We are very happy with how E. Fernández is developing. His improvement is evident and he helps us a lot.

You can see his leadership, and you can recognize it too.”

"I have to say that we have to rely solely on C. Palmer.

He is trying to fully adapt, as he gets heavily marked in every game.”

London’s Chelsea club is in second place in the English Championship with 35 points.
