The head coach of London’s Chelsea club, Enzo Maresca, defended goalkeeper Robert Sánchez, who made a significant mistake, after the 1:3 loss against Manchester City, and mentioned the improvement of his team:
"We are progressing. We are a better team than we were two or three months ago.
These moments will make us even better. Our plan was to work very well, and if we had scored a second goal, everything might have happened differently.”
"Of course, we continue to trust R. Sánchez...
He understands that he’s making quite a few mistakes, but we believe in him. We have a whole free week and we will see the Spaniard's reaction in the next matches.”
London’s Chelsea club shares 6th-7th places in the English Championship with Bournemouth, having 40 points.
