32-year-old Lithuanian national team goalkeeper Ernestas Šetkus received recognition in Israel - he was awarded the prize for the best goalkeeper of the championship.
Last summer, the Lithuanian who signed with the Haifa "Hapoel" club demonstrated excellent athletic form throughout the season, and his team, with one game left to play in the championship, ranks fourth.
E. Šetkus also made a significant contribution to "Hapoel" team winning the Israeli Cup.
The Lithuanian defended the honor of the strongest team in the Netherlands football league "ADO Den Haag" before moving to Israel.
