Leverkusen's "Bayer" preserved one of their most important players.

It was officially announced that center-back Edmond Tapsoba has signed a new contract, which will be valid until 2028.

The 24-year-old Burkina Faso defender was actively pursued by Tottenham this summer, but ultimately the more attractive option seemed to be Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg, as his price was lower.

Last season, E. Tapsoba scored 2 goals and made 1 assist.

The tall (194 cm) defender plays very well with the ball and will be a target for top-level clubs in the coming years.
