“Manchester United” striker Wout Weghorst, who joined on loan basis in January, has already played 19 games in the ranks of the “Red Devils”, but has only scored two goals.
The 30-year-old striker is facing increasing criticism, and after the defeat to “Newcastle United”, former “Man Utd” player Gary Neville stated that he simply is not good enough for a team of that level.
United coach Erik ten Hag defended his player.
“I heard Gary Neville's comments about Weghorst. I can only say that we are successful with Wout and that should be the most important criterion.
I am satisfied with Weghorst's game and how the team looks when he is on the field,” - E. ten Hagas said at a press conference.
