E. ten Hag: Van de Beek leads negotiations with another team

Amsterdam's "Ajax" head coach Erik ten Hag did not include the team's young talent Donny van de Beek in the lineup against "Eintracht" on Saturday. "Ajax" won 2-1 against the German team, but the coach himself admitted that the midfielder did not participate in the match because there have been talks for some time about the player's move to "Manchester United" club. The 23-year-old midfielder is also being followed this summer by the "La Liga" giants - "Barca" and Madrid's "Real" clubs. "There are indeed some reasons why players cannot play. As soon as there is more clarity, we will announce everything," said the "Ajax" head coach. Van de Beek spent five seasons in the "Ajax" team and has managed to play almost 200 matches. Currently, "Manchester United" is the main candidate to attract the midfielder. After "Ajax" victory against "Bundesliga" rivals "Eintracht," ten Hag added: "The fact that van de Beek did not play shows that negotiations for his departure are ongoing. He himself asked not to be included in the lineup. We are doing this together, if there is an opportunity for the player to move to another club, we also have to cooperate," said the team's head coach.
