E. Vaitkūnas leaves FA 'Šiauliai' club

At the end of the 2024 season, another player leaves the Saulės city team – we will no longer see Egidijus Vaitkūnas among the Šiauliai players.

The long-time member of the national Lithuanian men's team arrived in Šiauliai in 2023. The defender fought alongside the team for the bronze medals of the "TOPsport A League" and a place in the UEFA Conference League qualifying round, and also competed in the LFF Cup final.

In the previous season, Egidijus was one of the key players on the team and was among the leaders in terms of minutes played on the field. During his two seasons with "Šiauliai," the defender played a total of 58 matches and provided one assist.

FA "Šiauliai" thanks the player for his contribution to the team's achievements, his dedication both on the field and in the locker room, and wishes him success in his future career endeavors.

We remind you that the team has also already parted ways with Rolandas Baravykas, Simonas Urbys, Donatas Kazlauskas, and Simonas Paulius.
