"Barcelona" coach Ernesto Valverde continues to praise one of the leaders of "Liverpool", Philippe Coutinho, but avoids talking about the rumors that are not going away in the media.
The Brazil international was linked with the Catalans back in late August, but all offers for him were rejected at that time. Similar stories, insisting that he is one step away from moving to "Barça", have recently resurfaced.
Nevertheless, the coach of the Spanish vice-champions admires the 25-year-old midfielder.
"Coutinho is a great player, like many other players, and I always value my players," Valverde said before facing Valencia's "Levante".
"There are rumors about great players all over the world, but we have great players ourselves. I like to focus on our own players."
"What else do the fans of "Barça" want besides good players? The team plays well and wins, but the most important thing is to play a good match tomorrow."
Coutinho reignited the Catalans' interest by scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists in the first part of this season.
