Ernesto Valverde says he still trusts Philippe Coutinho, but his future at Barcelona is not guaranteed.
In the winter of 2018, P. Coutinho, who arrived at Barcelona, was recently linked with a return to the Premier League. However, the transfer window in England ends today, so the Brazilian is unlikely to reach an agreement with any club in that country.
Asked why P. Coutinho did not get minutes in the match against Napoli last night, the coach replied: "He did not play because, like Arthur and Vidal, he had only a few training sessions. The plan is the same: to gradually integrate these players. We will see if Coutinho can play on Saturday."
"We trust him, like the other players. I cannot say for sure what will happen this summer, but for now he is with us," added the coach.
Asked about Neymar, E. Valverde said: "Just like two years ago, when I arrive at this stadium I have to answer questions about Neymar. I really don't know what the situation is."
