Ernesto Valverde could not gather many words after the match and just added that such things are difficult to explain.
"This is football - anything can happen in it. Sometimes it is difficult to explain things that happen during a match", - the strategist said at the press conference.
"We controlled the game, but our opponents knew from the very first minutes how they could punish us. We started the match well, scored a quick goal, but it was not enough to secure the victory", - E. Valverde continued.
When asked if two changes in the starting lineup could have influenced the result of the match, the strategist was not willing to agree: "There were only two changes in the team lineup. We had planned to give Luis a day of rest, and Jordi Alba has played in almost every match of this season."
The good news for the Catalan team was that their direct competitor - Madrid's "Real" also suffered a defeat on the same evening.
