Lionel Messi once again saved Barcelona, but the match against Valencia ended not in the best physical condition.
In the second half, L. Messi was hit on the head. The club's medical staff immediately provided assistance and he returned to the field, but in Barcelona there were already concerns that L. Messi might have to miss Wednesday's "El Clasico".
After the match, Ernesto Valverde stated that he has no information about the injury, but if L. Messi is not one hundred percent ready for Wednesday, he will not be registered for the match.
"Messi has a small problem, but what exactly happened, I don't know," Valverde told reporters after the match.
"We have to wait and see what the medical staff will tell us. If we see that everything is okay with him, he will play on Wednesday," added the coach.
L. Messi has already missed one "El Clasico" this season, but Barcelona did not need his help then - the Madrid team was defeated at the Camp Nou stadium.
