Ernesto Valverde commented on Lionel Messi's situation after the recent victorious friendly matches.
After returning to training late from vacation, L. Messi injured his thigh on the first day, so he did not travel to the United States where Barcelona played two matches against Napoli.
Barcelona will start the La Liga season next Friday and it seems that they will have to do it without L. Messi.
"I would be happy if Lionel was still on vacation and not injured," E. Valverde began the conversation.
"I wish he could be with us here in the US and be ready for Friday, but for now it seems difficult," the coach added.
