E. Valverde on fans’ whistling: "They have the right to demand more"

Ernesto Valverde after another unsuccessful match tried to understand the fans at the "Camp Nou" stadium.

On Tuesday evening, "Barcelona" failed to beat the Prague team "Slavia" at their home turf - the game ended in a draw. Earlier, the Catalans also disappointed their fans - over the weekend, they suffered a defeat to Valencia's "Levante" team.

In the recent match, "Barcelona" fans expressed their dissatisfaction with the team's performance by booing both at the end of the first half and when the referee blew the final whistle.

"They have the right to demand more," - said E. Valverde at a press conference after the match. - "They always want to win. The truth is, today we were unable to take advantage of our chances, which we definitely had."

"Our opponents, even without having 100% chances, posed a threat by intercepting balls and launching quick attacks. Our problem was that we couldn't convert our dominance, which came from real opportunities, into goals," - the coach explained.

Asked to comment on the team's current form, E. Valverde added: "Before facing 'Levante', we immediately understood that it wasn't our game, just like today against 'Slavia'. We couldn't play two good matches in a row, we feel the pressure, so we will aim to get back on track."
