The "Barcelona" team won 4-2 away against La Coruña's "Deportivo". In this season, the Catalans have not suffered any losses in the Spanish championships so far, so they may finish it without admitting their opponent's superiority.
E. Valverde praised his team after the championship match, as in his opinion, winning the championship is much more difficult than other tournaments with elimination matches.
"In my opinion, winning the 'La Liga' is harder than the 'Copa del Rey' or other tournaments. It's a long season where you have to play well consistently throughout the year, while in other tournaments you may have one bad day and be knocked out," said E. Valverde.
"After such matches, you are very happy that you can finally say it's over. The 'La Liga' season was very long. Autumn was particularly tough, winter - a critical stage of the season, but we coped with everything.
From the very beginning, we wanted to win and already at the beginning of the season, we gained an advantage that allowed us to move forward. I think we were the best team this season," added the strategist.
The "Barcelona" team has won the Spanish champion title for the seventh time in the last ten years.
