The 34-year-old goalkeeper has agreed to sign a two-year contract and will arrive in Manchester on July 1. This transfer is not unexpected, as "Man Utd" tried to attract the reliable Dutch goalkeeper to one of the most famous English teams back in January.

It is said that the decision to sign a new player was influenced by the legendary "Man Utd" goalkeeper from Denmark, Peter Shmeichel.
E. Van Der Sar started his career in the team of his native country. Later, his goalkeeper career took him to Italy, where he represented a club. In 2001, "Senoji senjora" sold the Dutchman to "Fulham" for 5 million pounds.
