On Saturday, eight matches of the 6th round of EURO 2016 qualifiers were played.
At 19 o'clock, the Portuguese national team tested their strength against Armenian footballers. Led by their captain, the Portuguese defeated the hosts with a score of 2-3.
In the 14th minute, the Armenians took the lead, but in the 29th minute Cristiano Ronaldo equalized from the penalty spot. In the second half (55th and 58th minutes), the Portuguese scored two more great goals and secured the victory, although in the 72nd minute the hosts brought back some suspense.
In the other matches played at 19 o'clock, Hungarians beat the Finns, Poles defeated the Georgians, and the meeting between Ireland and Scotland ended peacefully.
The late games were also productive. The world champions Germany humiliated Gibraltar with a score of 0-7, with Andre Schurrle scoring two goals.
The Faroe Islands caused a bit of a sensation by defeating Greece with a score of 2-1. Denmark beat Serbia 2-0, and the clash between Northern Ireland and Romania ended goalless.
