EC selection: H. Kane led England to victory, Portugal defeated Serbia

On Saturday, four more 2020 European Championship qualifying matches were played.

England's national team achieved an easy victory at home, defeating Bulgaria 4-0.

In the first half, the hosts only scored once - in the 24th minute, Harry Kane scored a goal after a rough mistake by the Bulgarians.

The hosts started the second half very successfully. In the 50th minute, H. Kane doubled the English lead by converting a penalty kick, and just five minutes later Raheem Sterling scored the team's third goal.

In the 73rd minute, H. Kane completed his "hat-trick," converting another penalty kick and securing England's victory.

In Group B, where the Lithuanian national team also plays, Portugal defeated Serbia 4-2 away and secured a very important victory.

Portugal took the lead at the end of the first half, in the 42nd minute, when William Carvalho sent the ball into the net after a misunderstanding in the Serbian defense. This was the only goal in the first half.

In the 58th minute, Goncalo Guedes doubled the visitors' lead, but Serbia reduced the deficit after ten minutes when Nikola Milenkovic scored after a corner kick.

In the 80th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo restored Portugal's two-goal advantage.

Serbia's hope was revived in the 85th minute by Aleksandar Mitrovic, but a minute later Bernardo Silva secured the victory for Portugal.
