"Manchester City" fans received some bad news ahead of a very important match in the English Premier League.
In a press conference, Pep Guardiola confirmed that the main team goalkeeper, Ederson, will have to miss the match against "Liverpool" on Sunday.
The Brazilian suffered an injury during the UEFA Champions League match against "Atalanta". He was replaced after the first half - his place on the field was later taken by Claudio Bravo, who received a red card against himself.
"Ederson will not be able to play on Sunday. At the moment, we do not know how long he will have to be sidelined," P. Guardiola stated.
"We have another top-class goalkeeper - Claudio Bravo. Thanks to him, we won the trophies of the English league and the FA Cup last season. He is an incredible goalkeeper, having played a huge number of matches for the Chilean national team. We have no doubts about him," added the coach.
"Liverpool" has a 6-point advantage over "Man City". A loss in this match would further complicate the chances for "City" to win the Premier League for the third time in a row.
