Egyptian national team coach Hector Cuper did not miss the latest statement from Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.
The Spaniard told the press that his injured opponent Mohamed Salah could have continued the match in the UEFA Champions League final if he had taken painkillers.
"I am not a doctor and I do not know if that is S.Ramos. M.Salah suffered an injury and I have no doubt that he would have continued playing in the match if he could - the UEFA Champions League final is an exceptional match," Cuper said.
The coach hoped that M.Salah would recover and might be able to appear on the field in the meeting against Uruguay on June 15.
"We are optimistic about Salah's chances of playing in the World Cup. We hear a lot of things, but only doctors will announce the final verdict."
