Belgian national team and London "Chelsea" club defender Eden Hazard claims that his compatriot Kevin De Bruyne had enough quality to represent the "Blues" team.
The 23-year-old footballer was acquired by the "Chelsea" club back in 2012, but during that time he was loaned to "Genk" and Bremen's "Werder" teams. Eventually, the defender wearing the "aristocrats" jersey played only nine games and in 2013 moved to "Wolfsburg".
K. De Bruyne proved in Germany that Jose Mourinho probably made the wrong decision. This season, the defender scored 14 goals and made 24 assists in 38 games, and the Belgian does not hide his interest from elite European clubs.
"Chelsea" would have been stronger if De Bruyne had stayed in the team," said E. Hazard. - He is a great player, but Mourinho decided not to use his services."
"This decision is not mine, but I know that Kevin would have shone in London. He has enormous potential, and playing with him at the "Chelsea" club was special to me. It's very sad that he's no longer in the team," - the "Blues" leader finished without sparing good words about his compatriot.
