Frankfurt's "Eintracht" sporting director Fredi Bobic expressed his outrage at the Munich "Bayern" management when they announced without any warning that Niko Kovac will work for the Bavarian team from the next season.
This week, "Bayern" unexpectedly announced that Jupp Heynckes will be replaced after the season by N. Kovac, who has been working at "Eintracht" for several years.
This caused outrage at "Eintracht" club, as "Bayern" did not inform them that they would announce the completed deal with the coach. The Frankfurt team is in an important stage of the season, fighting for qualification for the Champions League.
"We were surprised that negotiations were completed during this season, but we have no complaints against Kovac," said F. Bobic.
"I don't think this was the best time to announce it. The fact that the information reached the public from "Bayern" and not from "Eintracht" shows a lack of respect and professionalism.
We have very important matches this weekend against Leverkusen and next week in the cup against "Schalke". This should be the main topic in our club, but now we are forced to talk about being left without a coach after the season.
As I said before, the timing chosen by "Bayern" is the most inappropriate from the clubs' perspective. They completely disregarded our situation. I respect my colleagues from Munich, but it seems like they have something against us," added the sporting director.
