Lithuanian champions Panevezys "Ekranas" continued their given promise and did not let themselves be crushed at home by the titled opponent.
In the first match of the UEFA Europa League knockout stage, the leaders of A lyga lost 0-2 to Bucharest's "Steaua". Both goals were scored by the visitors from set-piece situations.
The return match will take place in Romania on September 30.
