On Sunday, the 12th round of the "SMScredit.lt A League" matches took place in Lithuania.
The first match took place in Pakruojis, where the local team "Kruoja" clashed with Panevezys' "Ekranas". The minimal victory with a score of 0-1 was achieved by the footballers of "Ekranas".
The first half ended goalless and the teams separated without any goals. Both "Kruoja" and "Šiauliai" had roughly the same amount of opportunities in the first 45 minutes, although the Lithuanian champions played a bit more aggressively.
In the second half, the game changed and "Ekranas" started to dominate. The opponents' goalkeeper was threatened by Panevezys' players several times, but they could not score.
At the end of the match, the teams went into a decisive attack. In the 88th minute, the Lithuanian champions had the most realistic opportunity of the day. Arsenij Buinickij stood at the 11-meter mark and successfully converted the penalty, helping to secure three important points.
In another match, the local team "Šiauliai" clashed with Vilnius' "Žalgiris". After a fierce battle, the teams ended in a 1-1 draw.
In the early moments, in the 2nd minute, the hosts unexpectedly took the lead when Niko Tokičius scored after a quick counterattack.
However, the tremendous efforts of "Žalgiris" players helped to equalize the score, but only in the 68th minute. Kamilis Bilinskis scored after a pass from Jakub Wilko.
