"The Royal Club" doubled their advantage in the 35th minute. Federico Valverde scored from the penalty spot.

Xavi's players reduced the deficit in the 83rd minute. After a pass from Roberto Lewandowski, Ferran Torres sent the ball into the net.

However, "Real" answered all questions in extra time. Rodrygo converted a penalty from 11 meters in the 90+1st minute and sealed his team's victory.

After these matches, Madrid's "Real" climbed to the top position in the Spanish league standings, with three points more than "Barca" below them.
