Election of the Best Footballer of the Week (Survey)

Portal "EuroFootball.com" continues a new section. The most visited country's football news portal presents five footballers' surnames to its visitors each week who are vying to become the best player of the week.

Players are selected only from the main five European football leagues - Spain, England, Italy, Germany, and France. This weekend, exceptional individual performances were not recorded, but several footballers were very helpful to their team.

The first name on the list is Cristiano Ronaldo. Last week, having received his fifth "Golden Ball," the leader of the "white" team finally played excellent matches in the Spanish championship. The Portuguese scored two goals and constantly threatened the "Sevilla" goal. C. Ronaldo may have scored a "hat-trick" on his account, but Zinedine Zidane decided to give the striker a break before the encounter with the world clubs cup - he was substituted in the 76th minute. The second on the list is London's "Tottenham" striker Harry Kane. The English national team sniper, who has recently lost form a little, also contributed a double to the triumphant team's victory against "Stoke City." The striker scored two goals in nine minutes and tested the opponent's goalkeeper five more times. (VIDEO)

Also, the reliable defender of the "Manchester City" team, Nicolas Otamendi, had a great match this season. The Argentine not only helped the "Citizens" achieve a crucial victory in the Manchester derby with his work in defense but also scored a goal in the 54th minute after a set piece, which was decisive in that clash. In the weekend, a real savior in the ranks of the "Monaco" club was the performance of Guido Carrillo on the pitch. "Monaco" was behind 2-0 at one point during the match, but in the 70th minute, the opponents scored an own goal. Then G. Carrillo took the initiative - the Argentine, who appeared on the pitch after the first half, scored two goals in three minutes (85 and 88 min) and extended the team's victory to 3-2. (VIDEO)

The last name on this list is "Freiburg" striker Nils Petersen. "Koln" was leading against "Freiburg" with a score of 3-0, but the latter managed to turn the game around and win 4-3. The main protagonist of this victory was N. Petersen - the German reduced the deficit in the 39th minute and scored two penalties in the added time, celebrating a dramatic victory with the team. He scored a "hat-trick." (VIDEO)
