The Bundesliga match (1:1) between "Freiburg" and "Heidenheim" became special for the home team coach Christian Streich.
The 58-year-old German, who has devoted more than half of his life to the team, led his last home match and after the meeting ended, he held an emotional farewell with the team's supporters.
One of them rushed onto the field trying to hug his hero, but soon was tackled by security personnel onto the stadium grass.
Witnessing the incident, C. Streich approached the fan and thanked him for his support.
The strategist, who spent 29 years at the club, coached the U19 team from 1995 to 2011, and then for 13 years led the main "Freiburg" team.
