„Juventus“ youth academy player Daniele Rugani returned to Turin after the end of his loan contract, confirmed by „Empoli“ president Fabrizio Corsi.
The 20-year-old, often called the most talented Italian defender, has been playing on loan basis for the „blues“ club for the second season, where he became an irreplaceable starter, making a significant contribution to the club's return to „Serie A“.
„Radio Rai“ spoke to F. Corsi, who did not hide that the doors are open for the defender to the strongest Italian club.
„Some of our youth team players have caught the attention of „Juventus“. Their club has highly qualified technical staff,“ noted the president of „Empoli“.
„Rugani is a fantastic guy. Every day he trains an hour longer and infects others with his example. For example, Federico Barba („Empoli“ defender) last year didn't seem ready for „Serie A“, but this year he is one of the key players in the team“.
„There is already a verbal agreement with „Juventus“ for Rugani's return next year“, confirmed F. Corsi.
Two other „Juventus“ players, Sebastian Giovinco and Claudio Marchisio, also had internships at „Empoli“ club, and after the season's loan they returned to Turin in the summer of 2008.
