Pessina scored in the 68th minute for the winners. Meanwhile, Zenit crushed Malmo's club 4-0 at their stadium. Russian team goals were scored by Claudinho (9'), D. Kuzyayev (49'), A. Sutormin (80'), and Wendel (94'). The Lithuanians played from the 53rd minute without the expelled A. Ahmedhodzic.
