On Monday evening, the first two UEFA Europa League quarter-finals were played. "Manchester United" defeated "Copenhagen" with a score of 1:0 in extra time and advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament. In the first half, the "Red Devils" seemed quite sluggish, but Mason Greenwood scored a goal in added time by the referee. However, after a VAR review, the goal was disallowed due to an obvious offside. In the second half, "Man Utd" hit the goal frame twice, while the Danish team also had their chances. However, no goals were scored during regular time and the teams had to play extra time. The decisive moment came in the 95th minute, when Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty earned by Anthony Martial. "Man Utd" will face the winners of the Sevilla and Wolves pair in the semi-finals.
In the other quarter-final, Inter Milan players secured a spot in the semi-finals by defeating Bayer Leverkusen 2:1. All goals were scored in the first half, with Nicolo Barella putting the Italian team ahead in the 15th minute. In the 21st minute, Inter already had a two-goal lead thanks to Romelu Lukaku. Bayer did not give up and Kai Havertz reduced the deficit in the 24th minute. No more goals were scored and Inter advanced to the semi-finals, where they will meet the winners of the Shakhtar and Basel pair.
