EN: "Tottenham" humiliates "Man City" team, "Liverpool" takes care of "Porto"

On Tuesday, the first two UEFA Champions League quarter-final matches took place. Three English teams and one from Portugal clashed in Liverpool and London.

The most attention was drawn to the match between London's "Tottenham" and "Manchester City", which ended with a great victory for the home team. Mauricio Pochettino's team resisted after an 11-meter penalty and secured a victory with a score of 1:0 in the battle for a spot in the semi-finals.

The start of the match didn't promise anything good for the "Tottenham" team - just over 10 minutes into the game, the referee received a signal from the VAR room that Danny Rose may have handled the ball in the penalty area. Bjorn Kuipers reviewed the episode and awarded a penalty kick to the "Spurs" team.

Sergio Aguero had a golden opportunity in the early stages of the match to put the visitors ahead, but this time the Argentine striker missed - Hugo Lloris reacted to the striker's shot and the score remained 0:0.

In the second half, the "citizens" took control, while "Tottenham" lost their leader Harry Kane to a serious ankle injury while attempting to win the ball.

Nevertheless, "Spurs" didn't hesitate and scored a winning goal in the 78th minute. Heung-Min Son managed the ball on the right flank and beat Ederson with a clever shot.

In other matches, "Liverpool" comfortably dealt with "Porto" at their stadium. Two goals in the first half sealed the triumph for the "Reds" with a 2:0 victory.

As early as the 5th minute, Naby Keita sent the ball into Iker Casillas' goal after a ricochet. Despite "Porto" starting the match fairly well, they found themselves trailing by two goals in the 26th minute - Roberto Firmino added another goal.
