In the world plagued by the coronavirus, famous people through social networks invite everyone to take protective measures, to self-isolate. Such public statements by sports or entertainment business stars motivate people to act thoughtfully. However, sometimes the preaching of a famous person to others is not a norm for themselves. As reported by lrytas.lt, this happened with the captain of Birmingham's "Aston Villa" team Jack Grealish, who asked all his followers on his account to stay at home because of the virus, but he himself went to have fun with a friend, and the next morning he even crashed his car.
"To save lives, you must stay at home. Leave home only to buy food, buy medicine, to travel, but never forget to stay at least two meters away from each other. This is important, stay at home, save lives," said J. Grealish in his appeal.
As claimed by "The Sun", as soon as he uploaded a video about the threat of coronavirus and the necessity to stay home, the footballer sat in his car and went to visit his former teammate Ross McCormack. There, the "Aston Villa" captain spent the whole night, and on Sunday morning decided to go home.
Already on his way home, J. Grealish crashed his £89,000 "Range Rover" and damaged other cars parked on the street.
According to "The Sun", the player promised to pay for the repair of the damaged cars, but after a brief conversation, he disappeared.
"The party went on all night. It was impossible to listen to loud music and shouts. As soon as they subsided, I heard a series of loud bangs on the street. It turned out to be the sounds of accidents," said R. McCormack's neighbor.
As reported by the police, the owner of the "Range Rover" left all his information before leaving the scene of the accident on foot. The police are now in contact with the driver.
