Germany has new champions!
In Leverkusen, at Bayer's home, with a score of 5:0, they crushed Werder Bremen and ended Bayern's 11-year domination in the Bundesliga championship.
The new champions were brought ahead in the 25th minute by Victor Boniface, who converted a penalty kick.
Granit Xhaka doubled the score in the 60th minute.
Florian Wirtz made it three in the 68th minute. In the 83rd minute, F. Wirtz scored a double, and in the 90th - a hat-trick.
This is the first championship title in the entire history of Bayer Leverkusen club.
With five rounds left until the end of the championship, Bavarians are behind the champions by 16 points.
