At the Women's European Championship - it's time for decisive battles. Two quarter-finals have already been played, and two more will be played in the coming days. In the first one, England's women dramatically defeated Spain 2:1. Until the 83rd minute of the game, the English were trailing 0:1, but then Ella Toone's goal equalized the score. In extra time, Georgia Stanway secured the victory for England. What a moment! 🤩
In the other quarter-final, Germany beat Austria 2:0. Lina Magull and Alexandra Popp scored the goals for the German team. Popp became the first player to score in four consecutive matches in the Women's European Football Championship. In the other quarter-finals, France will face the Netherlands and Sweden will face Belgium.
