Football players who choose acting on the football field may face suspensions in England from next season. Such a decision was made by the Football Association (FA).
According to the new rules, every Monday a committee will review videos and look for cases of acting. If a football player is accused of acting on the field, he will face suspension.
However, not all actors-loving football players will face penalties. The FA announced that cases where cards were given for acting, players were sent off, or a penalty kick was awarded will be reviewed.
The committee will consist of one former referee, one former coach, and one former football player. Now it is necessary for the rule to be approved by the English Premier League, the Professional Players' Association, and the English Football League. Such measures have been in place in Scotland since 2011.
