On Tuesday, at the National Stadium in Poland, the passionate football fans who gathered there did not get to see the football spectacle they were hoping for.
Due to a large amount of rainfall, the field became waterlogged, and it was decided to cancel the World Cup qualifying match between the hosts and the English team.
The visiting team's head coach Roy Hodgson did not expect that the postponed match could be played as early as Wednesday.
"The field is in a very pitiful condition. It will take a lot of effort to properly prepare it for the national teams' match," he said.
