English national team coach R. Hodgson: we have done half the work © EuroFootball.com

England national team coach Roy Hodgson warns his players that the task of reaching the World Cup is not yet complete.

On Friday evening at Wembley Stadium, the English defeated the Montenegrin footballers 4-1 and currently hold the top spot in Group H, leading the Ukrainian team by one point.

Nevertheless, the England national team will face the Polish footballers on Tuesday, and a loss could see them surrender the top spot to Ukraine, who will travel to San Marino.

"We have only done half the job. If we want to secure a direct ticket to Brazil, we must win against Poland. It won't be easy," said R. Hodgson.

"The match will be very tough. I watched the Poles play against Ukraine. In the first half, they played exceptionally well and had great opportunities to score."

"If they play on Tuesday like they did on Friday, it will be very difficult for us, but I always support my players. I trust them.

We have not lost in this group yet. We can extend this streak to 10 matches, and with the support of the fans gathered at Wembley Stadium, I must support the players. It would be foolish not to do so," the coach emphasized.

All teams that finish in first place in the qualifying group and four teams that finish in second place will qualify for the World Cup in Brazil. The final qualifiers will be determined after additional playoff matches.
