Before the start of the new season of the English Premier League, all teams are strengthening. Here you will find all the player transfers that have taken place up to date. The second part will feature the remaining teams' acquisitions.

Arrivals:

Mathieu Flamini - A 20-year-old French youth national team defender arrived from Marseille club and signed a long-term contract.

Manuel Almunia - A 27-year-old goalkeeper arrived from his native country's Celta club and signed a long-term deal. The deal amount is undisclosed.

Robin van Persie - A 20-year-old winger arrived from Feyenoord club for an undisclosed fee and signed a 4-year contract.

Arturo Lupoli - A 17-year-old Italian forward arrived from Parma club and will receive a scholarship payment as his salary.

Departures:

Ray Parlour - A 31-year-old defender moved to Middlesbrough club for £1.7 million.

Graham Stack - A 22-year-old goalkeeper from Ireland was loaned to Millwall club for one season.

Stathis Tavlaridis - A defender from Greece joined Lille club for an undisclosed fee.

David Bentley - England youth national team forward loaned to Millwall club for one season.

Martin Keown - A 38-year-old veteran was released from the club and signed a one-year contract with Leicester club.

Nwanko Kanu - Released from the club.

Sylvain Wiltord - Released from the club after the contract ended.

Rami Shabaan - Released from the club.

Igor Stepanovs - Latvia national team defender released from the club and joined Grasshoppers team.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst - Signed a three-year contract with Barcelona.
