Two Edinburgh businessmen, Pat Munro and Fred Wood, are seeking financial support worldwide and aim to buy out a local club from Vladimir Romanov.

According to potential buyers, the team's fans and smaller shareholders are dissatisfied with the current owner's leadership.

More than two years ago, in January 2005, P. Munro and F. Wood also tried to buy out the "Hearts" club. At that time, they offered V. Romanov £30 million, but the businessman from Kaunas declined this money.

"Our goal is to buy out the team and remove V. Romanov from it. Currently, we have partners in the Middle East, Edinburgh, and are in talks with Icelandic businessmen. We want to build a new stadium for the club, as well as a hotel, bank, casino, and shopping center nearby," explained P. Munro.

It is worth noting that V. Romanov owns slightly more than 80% of the shares of the "Hearts" team. If the businessman from Lithuania acquires the Edinburgh club, his "Ukio Bank" took over the debts of the Scottish club, which then amounted to almost £18 million. Moreover, V. Romanov himself recently outlined his plans to expand the "Hearts" stadium to journalists.
